As a Branch of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges the West Essex YMCA is part of a powerful Association of members, volunteers and staff who are joined together by a shared passion to strengthen the foundation of the communities we serve. The YMCA is dedicated to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility which, ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive. Serving more than 164,000 members and program participants throughout the state of New Jersey the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges has the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change.

SM01 West Essex YMCA is proud to collaborate with the following partners:

Programs for Parents, NJ SACC, ACA, JESPY House, Caldwell College, Kiwanis Club of Livingston, Livingston Chamber of Commerce, Horizon Blue Cross Foundation, Rotary Club, West Essex Chamber of Commerce, NJ Department of Children & Family, Livingston Recreation Departments, Roseland Board of Ed, West Orange Board of Ed, Caldwell Board of Ed, Livingston Board of Ed, HCHY, ARC, Township of Livingston, Livingston Education Foundation, The Big L Club of Livingston High School, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, LMAC, St. Barnabas, ACAP, and Livingston Mall-Kidgits Program.

In addition to our collaborations, the West Essex YMCA also provides our facilities to these organizations:

Livingston Chinese Association, Livingston Asian Indian Association, ARC, Livingston Youth with Disabilities, Livingston Recreation Department, Bright Horizons, Healthy Community Healthy Youth Committee, Livingston Youth/Kids Education Society, Livingston Board of Ed, Livingston High School, West Essex Regional High School, and Healthy Group.

The West Essex YMCA is a partner in these community events:

Family Fun Nights, Healthy Kids Day, 5k Collaboration, Livingston Youth Appreciation Week, Police Night Out by Livingston Police, New Resident Picnic, West Orange African Heritage Committee and Woman’s Health & Wellness Expo, Swim Safety & Health & Wellness Expo, PTA’s – West Orange & Livingston, Blood Drives, and Bone Marrow Donor Drives.

Through our YMCA Mission, Vision and Values the West Essex YMCA is part of building a healthier community with:

Parents, Children from Infants to Teens, Diverse Communities, Seniors, Health Seekers, Families in Financial Need, Obese Adults & Children, Teens, 7th Grade Memberships, and Children & Adults with Special Needs.

The West Essex YMCA provides free community programs that included the following activities:

Pioneering Healthier Communities, CATCH After School Activities, Kids are Fit Classes at Schools, Senior Fitness Classes at Assisted Living Complexes, Livingston Senior Swim, and CHLI.
